All support and upgrade services are combined into one fixed price sum per month allowing customers’ unlimited access to our support services while being able to budget with certainty the future cost of the solution.
Operating System
The BUSINESS EDGE operates within a Linux environment. The success of Linux as an operating environment stems from its ability to provide a robust and low cost option to the more traditional alternatives, these two attributes being critical to the successful operation of our system in the software’s user base.
The lower processing requirement also reduces the cost of hardware required to operate the system and the transmission bandwidth to have remote stores “on line”.
Linux works hand in hand with all Microsoft products providing The BUSINESS EDGE with an interface to your other business software.
ASP
Smaller customers may elect that Unisoft hosts the software on its behalf. With ADSL access, customers experience little difference between the system being located at their site or any external server. The ASP option saves in the up front cost of an on site server and the cost of the initial purchase of the software licenses.
